I am a research biologist interested in animal behavior and communication.

I study insect natural history & behavior and the science of science communication.

I am the head of the Insect Research Lab at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences and an Associate Research Professor at North Carolina State University.

I also produce science digital media on YouTube (Ant Lab) and PBS-NC (SciNC).
